Trichotillomania

Trichotillomania is a kind of mental disorder. It is an irresistible urge to pull out your hair. The patients of Trichotillomania remain busy in repeatedly pulling out their hair. The patient finds himself/herself unable to resist against pulling out the hairs from any part of the body hair, including eyelashes, nose hairs, eyebrows etc. Most commonly, in this case, patients are found in pulling out their scalp hairs.

Ringworm of the scalp

Alopecia areata occurs when the immune system of the human body attacks hair follicles. Hair follicles are mainly programmed to maintain hair production cycles on the scalp with the help of flow of different hormones in the body. If the flow of hormones increase and decrease in your body that leads to disturbing the immune system. Consequently, hair follicles face disorder in their hair production cycle. Resultantly, hair starts to grow less as compare to hair shed, which leads to hair thinning and sometimes complete baldness.

As Thyroid glands help to regulate hormones level in your body. Any disorder in Thyroid glands consequently leads to disturbing your immune system and disturbed immune system hair cycle from human scalp follicles. That’s how Thyroid disease causes hair loss problem. Moreover, Thyroid disease can lead the patient to face smaller and harmless disorders like goiter to deadly cancer. Most of the times thyroid disease happens due to overproduction of thyroid hormone in the human body instead of reduced production.
